Naming guides/ABOUT NAMELAB
ABOUT NAMELAB · 3 min readAbout NameLab: structured comparison for naming decisions
NameLab is an independently operated naming-idea tool for babies, companies, and products. We treat names as an expression that needs balance across sound, meaning, context, and real-world use.
How we organize suggestions
NameLab uses the information you provide about the brief, languages, and region to generate creative candidates. We place pronunciation, meaning, memorability, and cross-cultural use into the comparison. The purpose is to support discussion, not claim one objectively correct answer.
How suggestions should be used
- Place candidates back into the full surname, product positioning, or brand brief; say and write them to test whether they are natural, clear, and memorable.
- Compare sound, spelling, meaning, cross-language associations, and room to grow separately instead of deciding from a first impression alone.
- For commercial names, independently check trademarks, domains, company names, social handles, and local-language meaning for the final short list.
Pricing and data boundaries
Each browser can preview one complete candidate free. Full reports are purchased one time and never auto-renew. Birth information is used for the current request only when you choose the cultural-reference feature; see the Privacy Policy for browser-credit identifiers, order information, and data-deletion requests.
What we do not do
- We do not guarantee that a name is unique, registrable, available, or non-infringing.
- We do not make determinate claims about destiny, health, wealth, personality, or life outcomes from cultural-reference information.
- We do not replace trademark searches, legal advice, medical advice, or other professional services.
